In the last few days, I have been horrified although not really surprised, at the lies that have been spread like slurry all over the media, just to puff up Cameron as some sort of Messiah.
Even the Leftie papers and the BBC have insisted on the myth that Cameron used a veto, when WE know he didn't. Blatant and obvious lies that gullible people are happy to believe.
It has often been the case that journos (and people like Douglas Carswell, who is in the Mail perpetuating the same myth) act as safety valves for the populace, writing what we feel, so giving us the impression that we are not alone in our disgust, our despair.
This latest episode goes beyond that, by claiming that Cameron is one of us. He is not. He is an EU apologist who has been given leave to do something they wanted him to do anyway and gets him off the referendum hook they so fear.
Thus he also, of course, avoids the fate of Papandreou and Berlusconi.
